If only you could have that perfect male body of the Greek Gods; the dream of every guy I know. The question is, is it possible for every guy to have a six-pack, a V-shape and athletic arms and legs? Whether it is possible or not, that is the dream and it is a recurring dream that doesn’t go away.
I have never seen a perfect male body in my life. There is always something that could be better and I am sure that if I have the pleasure of coming across the perfect body one day it will be a body with hardly a brain and no personality at all. And yet, even though I know that this is the case, the dream lingers on and every guy still suffers from it.
Since that is the reality I have tried to look into exercises, diets and medication to give the guys what they want, but unfortunately my program isn’t easy, possible for everybody or even perfect for anybody. A high protein diet works for most, but it is still not clear whether that kind of diet is healthy at all. I have seen many guys with high cholesterol that feel and test better on a protein diet and allover that is also true of diabetics, guys with high blood-pressure and guys suffering from depression, but doctors do not always agree on this.
It is still not clear to me whether this dream is good or bad for us. Sometimes I feel that making peace with the body you have is much healthier than chasing a pipe dream, but what can you do if this is the prerequisite for straight and gay alike. In doing research on this I found that there are a few points that can be followed without killing yourself before you reach your impossible dream. These are not foolproof, not earth-shattering and definitely not new, but here goes.
- Hoist your activity just a notch. If you are no gym-fanatic I am not suggesting that you join the gym and stay there for a month; just a notch. Try to walk a little bit more and sit a little less.
- Add something to your breakfast and take the same away from your dinner. If you are not the breakfast type I am not suggesting you do the hotel-breakfast from here on. I am merely suggesting that you eat an apple for breakfast and take one potato away at dinner.
- Ad 3 glasses of water to your intake, but if you already drink 8 or more this does not apply to you. Do not down the pacific; too much is also not good for you.
- Drink one less. Alcohol is a diet-killer.
- Eat one hour earlier at night, sleeping on a full stomach is often worse than two candy bars a day.
- Pick starch or protein. If you decide you are in the mood for a steak, have two instead of steak and chips. If you are craving for cake then stick to cake for the evening. Research shows that joining the two is much worse so you might as well keep them apart without losing out on any of them.
I have come across a few diets, exercise programs and combinations of the two that really helped a large number of my clients, but this is only for those who really had enough and want to do something drastic. With that I am not saying that these are impossible, they really did work for many people, but if you are still not sure that you have the energy to do something about your body it will be ridiculous to pay for something that you will not use.
Three diets I really recommend:
