So..........., where do you stand when it comes to Freedom?
5 Months after the most destructive force against freedom in the 20th century was destroyed a book came out to warn against the next enemy of freedom and it took the world 45 years to realize they were fighting with bigamists against bigamists.
The most destructive force against freedom in the 20th century was Hitler’s Nazism and the world destroyed it in April 1945. The book that came out was Animal Farm by George Orwell warning against communism and the strongest adherents of communism, the Soviet Union, fell in 1989. 5 Years later another great enemy of freedom fell as well; the Apartheid regime in South Africa.
It absolutely amazes me how people can support one kind of freedom and oppose the next. I know many queer racists and a lot of black homophobes. Are they serious or just fucking stupid?
How can you cry about your freedom as a queer and then support a view that denies the freedom of another? How can you be a black South African crying endlessly about apartheid and then support a view that denies the freedom of queers? You are either an undercover bigot or a retarded freedom fighter.
I just read a news article about Liberian (that refers to Liberia; not Siberian or Libyan) politicians denying that they received money from the US to support pro-gay legislation in their country.
(Link: http://www.mask.org.za/newspaper-claims-liberian-parliamentarians-given-money-to-pass-pro-gay-law/#more-8102)
Both politicians denied the allegations (as politicians normally do) saying that they will NEVER support pro-gay legislation because it will be bad for their country. What the fuck? To understand how ridiculous such a statement is you will have to know more about the history of Liberia and I will try to give you some pointers on that.
Liberia was set up by the United States as a colony for former African-American slaves. Lets here it for the land of the FREE; the US bought a piece of land to dump their slaves in Africa and Liberia is that piece of land. It is a country that by its nature was the product of American bigotry. 16 years ago a civil war broke out in the country and it continued for a decade. Only six years ago this country had its first “free” elections and still the guy’s won’t get it: You aren’t free if everybody in your country isn’t free love.
Whiteys thought South Africa was free, but it wasn’t because only 3 out of 30 had the right to vote. American southerners thought America was the land of the free, but it wasn’t because they still owned slaves. Liberia thinks that they are free, but it isn’t because gay people have no rights there. The politicians think gay rights would be bad for the country, just as Americans thought that freeing slaves would be bad for their country and just as South Africans thought that granting black people the right to vote would be bad for their country.
So were they right? You bet your boots they were right. America took a financial blow when they freed their slaves and South Africa is sill in an economic crisis after the dismantling of apartheid. Does that mean we should go back to Slavery, Communism, Nazism, Apartheid and anti-gay legislation?
Because love; you cant support one of the above while you oppose another; they are all just another term for slavery, sugarcoated but still slavery and if you support any of them you should shut the fuck up about freedom because then you are just another pig in Animal Farm; especially you American homophobes, South African racists, Liberian politicians and Queer bigamists.
